Our Story
PageTurner was born from a simple love of stories. Tucked into a sun-lit corner of the neighbourhood, we've spent fifteen years building a place where readers feel seen — where every recommendation is personal, every shelf is a discovery, and every visit leaves you a little more in love with books.
We believe good books change lives. We also believe a great cup of tea and an afternoon in a comfortable chair don't hurt either.

We host a rich calendar of literary events year-round: author readings and book signings, literary workshops for writers of all levels, poetry nights on the last Friday of each month, themed book club discussions, children's storytime sessions every Saturday morning, and our popular "Meet the Author" series featuring debut novelists. Check our events board in-store or sign up for our newsletter to stay updated.
Each month, our booksellers select a featured title (or titles, depending on your plan) tailored to the club's theme. Books are available for in-store pickup or local delivery. We then gather — in-person or online — to discuss the book, debate ideas, and share recommendations. Higher-tier members also receive exclusive author access and advance reading copies of upcoming titles.
Absolutely! Our store is available for private literary events outside of business hours. We've hosted corporate book launches, birthday celebrations, school literary evenings, and wedding showers themed around beloved novels. Our space fits up to 60 guests and we can arrange catering partnerships. Contact us at events@pageturnerbooks.com to discuss your vision and check availability.
Yes — gift cards are available in any denomination from $10 to $500, both as physical cards in our signature kraft-and-ribbon packaging and as digital cards delivered by email. They never expire, can be used in-store or online, and are the most popular gift we sell (second only to our hand-picked "Bookseller's Choice" mystery boxes).
We accept returns and exchanges within 30 days of purchase, provided the book is in its original condition (unread, no cracked spines or annotations). Books purchased as gifts can be exchanged with a receipt for up to 60 days. Book club selections are non-returnable once they have been read, but we do offer a "didn't love it" credit toward your next pick if you let us know within two weeks of receiving your book.
We maintain a dedicated rare and antiquarian section featuring first editions, signed copies, and out-of-print titles sourced from estate sales, auctions, and trusted dealer networks. If you're searching for something specific, our booksellers offer a free "Book Search" service — just give us the title and we'll track it down. We also partner with three specialist dealers for truly rare requests.
